Hiatus, producer of cinematic electronica music released his debut album Ghost Notes and lead single Save Yourself in late 2010. The album and single propelled Hiatus into the music industry with a beautiful blend of haunting Iranian trip-hop. Catching the attention of the dance/electro scene, film producers and the music press, Hiatus released his second single Insurrection featuring vocals from the legendary Linton Kwesi Johnson to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Brixton riots.
AMP worked closely with Hiatus to identify early tastemaker support and build substantial profile across radio and online throughout 2011. This has resulted in sationwide support from BBC 6 Music including Record of The Week from Steve Lamacq and Record of the weekend from Nemone, ongoing plays on XFM including an exclusive mix for Eddy Temple Morris and further plays and sessions on BBC London, Q and Selector. Online and press coverage came strong from fans, industry and media including highlighted reviews in the Big Issues, Knowledge, Metro and MTV.
