My First Tooth (Alcopop Records)

Hailing from Northampton, UK, My First Tooth are an indie-folk outfit led by singer-songwriter Ross Witt and violinist Sophie Galpin. Taking their cue from artists including the Eels, Okkervil River and Neutral Milk Hotel the band’s first album Territories was released on the 18th October 2010 and was followed by an E.P. My First Tooth & the Rubies on the 4th April 2011.

Now back with their second album Love Makes Monsters the band have made themselves a firm fixture of the UK festival circuit with appearances at Glastonbury, Summer Sundae, Bestival, Truck, 2000 Trees, The Great Escape, SWN, TGE and more since the release of their debut. ¬†Outside of these, a relentless touring campaign post-Territories has seen them hone their frenzied, harmony-laden, instrument-swapping live appearances into a barnstorming show that NME described as “unmissable”.
