Radio 1 & XFM Playlist for new Strangers single

Dark synth pop maestros Strangers release their anthemic single Shine On You this week on Killing Moon / Beatwolf Records and as a limited edition vinyl release for Record Store Day available through Rough Trade.

Building on the success of their last single Promises ft Lara Smiles we secured the first Radio 1 play for the band from Huw Stephens and also built a strong campaign with XFM resulting in support from Eddy Temple Morris, Mary Anne Hobbs and John Kennedy plus a session / interview and ultimately a spot on the XFM playlist. Shine On You was also used as the closing soundtrack to the BBC TV Coverage of the Bahrain Formula 1 marking the bands first TV sync, the perfect culmination to the campaign before the band head off on the road with Niki & the Dove

On remix detail this time round was the soon to be huge Draper who threw a big summer lilt at the track and attracted thousands of hits on his rework as soon as it went live on youtube. Check it out here for yourself.

Keep your ears to the ground for the next single Safe Pain from Strangers, we’ve heard early mixes of this track and it’s a dark moody euphoric epic work of joy, trust, it just is and it tastes goooood…
