Back in school days, Leo Piers Ali & Dave forged their friendship & love of music aged 14, honing their song-writing & performance skills on school mates with their band Caimbo. From school, the boys went straight onto the road, gigging at local pubs & clubs and a small UK tour, gradually building a loyal fan base. 2009 saw a much more extensive UK tour – bigger venues, bigger crowds – a performance at Download festival and the opportunity to mix their first album in LA.
All the time their song writing and music was maturing, resulting in a name change in 2010 to The Colour Movement – their fan base growing whist they continued to gig around the UK with a flurry of festivals in the summer including The Secret Garden and a headliner at Os Fest. During 2011 The Colour Movement released two EP’s with their music continuing to evolve; regular gigs in Camden hotspots and headline gigs at some of the most prestigious London clubs such as Bungalow 8 and Mahiki – still the same line-up, still best mates, song writing, rehearsing & gigging – a body of new material ready to record.
