Will And The People: Addicted 22 Febuary 2010

After an incredible year, Will Rendle is back in the studio with John Tilley and Simon Hanson (Squeeze, Death in Vegas) laying down tracks for the forthcoming album and it’s easy to see that the last twelve months have been a massive inspiration to this constantly evolving collective.

Free from the frustration of ever delayed release schedules, Will And The People are set to release a new single every month, starting in February with the undeniable crowd favourite ‘Addicted’, which in the words of Will…

‘Was written in an all nighter session by 5 people.. The lyric is about addiction, in general but also something very specific to me…. When someone or something drives you up the wall but you can’t leave them, or it…. It is a schizophrenic song’

New tracks such as Golden Thunder, Plasters and The Game also reveal a much deeper blend of musical influences throwing their weight around in the mix. Will’s song writing has developed in a way that naturally harnesses these eclectic sounds into a more mature, yet playful progression of the reggae tinged indie-pop this band have become so revered for. Big things are expected from Will And The People this year and they aren’t about to disappoint….
